COVID-19 and Early Childhood Mental Health in Canada Online
With the pandemic’s unprecedented effects, including layoffs, relationship strain, competing caregiver demands, service losses and disruptions, and uncertainty about in-person learning, parents are more stressed out than ever before.
Without adequate support, high stress levels threaten to disrupt children’s socio-emotional development and long-term mental health, especially as worsening mental health and substance use fall along pre-existing lines of disadvantage in society.
Join our discussion of the recent policy brief about the impact of the pandemic on families and early childhood mental health with co-author and co-host: the Canadian Paediatric Society.
