10 Week Wound Care & IV Access Education Series - virtual - Sponsored by 3M Online

Wound Care and IV Care!!  This is a ten week series, which starts on Wednesday April 12 and runs every Wednesday until Wednesday June 14, 2023.

There will be two sessions everyday 1030-1130 and 1400-1500  Sask time.

WEEK 1:  APRIL 12, 2023
Skin Integrity Review of MASD (Moisture Associated Skin Damage) and IAD (Incontinence Associated Damage), as well as use of 3M™Cavilon™ Product Line Up
WEEK 2:  APRIL 19, 2023
Moist Wound Healing - Healing process, Assessment of wounds, Pressure Injury Development and Staging, 3M™Tegaderm™ products, 3M Alginate and 3M NuGel
WEEK 3:  APRIL 26, 2023
Moist Wound Healing Continued - Healing process, Assessment of wounds, Pressure Injury Development and Staging, along with 3M™ antimicrobials (3M™ Inadine and 3M™ Silvercel)
WEEK 4:  MAY 3, 2023
Promote Granulation - We will be going through promoting granulation using specific 3M™ products, including 3M™ Promogran and 3M™ Promogran Prisma, and 3M™ VAC and basics of VAC Therapy (indications and contraindications for use)
WEEK 5: MAY 10, 2023
Promote Granulation Con’t- We will be showing 3M™ VAC Therapy demos, in terms of basic application and removal of the device and dressings. As well as 3M™ Dermatac Drape
WEEK 6:  MAY 17, 2023
Lower Limb Management - We will go over Arterial ulcers, Venous Leg Ulcers, Diabetic Foot Ulcers, Edema and the treatments using 3M™ Products. As well we will touch on Ankle Brachial Pulse Index and their use when choosing compression therapy to manage some of the etiologies listed above.
WEEK 7:  MAY 24, 2023
Lower Limb Management Con’t - 
This week we will be showing basic applications of 3M™ Coban™ 2 and 3M™ Coban 2 Lite on the lower leg
WEEK 8:  MAY 31, 2023
Prep and Protect - We will be reviewing vascular access basics expanding on the importance of prepping the skin and protecting the skin prior to application of dressings for both Peripheral Venous Access Devices and Central Venous Access Devices
WEEK 9:  JUNE 7, 2023
Secure - We will be reviewing dressings for Peripheral Venous Access Devices and Central Venous Access Devices. 3M™ Tegaderm IV Advanced and 3M™ PICC/CVC Devices

WEEK 10:  JUNE 14, 2023

Manage - This week we will be reviewing catheter related infections, both intraluminal and extraluminal as well as dressings to help manage. (3M™ IV Advanced antimicrobial dressing, 3M™ IV Advanced CHG Dressings, 3M™ PICC/CVC Dressings and 3M™Curos Caps)
