Intro to Referencing at the SHA Online

Are you unsure how to reference sources accurately? Do you spend too much time formatting references? Are you looking for easier ways to keep track of sources? Then this learning session is for you! Our clinical librarians will walk you through the essentials of working with references at the SHA to keep you organized and save you time.

Learning Outcomes

By the end of the session, participants will be able to:

  • Describe the standard reference style to be used in SHA documents and publications
  • Locate the library’s Citing & Referencing guide
  • Use the Citing & Referencing guide to format references for specific material types
  • Perform basic tasks in Zotero (a freely-available referencing tool) to auto-generate references
  • Describe the value of using Zotero for managing multiple references and team collaboration

For a hands-on experience, please download Zotero prior to the session day/time.

This session is offered every 2-3 weeks. If registration is full, please register anyway to get on the wait list for early registration next time around.
