Lilibeth Acero RN, BSN

VNS Health

Lilibeth Acero was a skin integrity nurse coordinator at Nassau University medical center from 2009-2024. Lilibeth was responsible for the Acero Kurtz perioperative skin bundle where she realized success in reducing pressure injuries in the operating room settling three years in a row. She is a diplomate of the American Professional Wound Care Association and a member of EWMA (European Wound Management Association). She is currently in a new position as Hospice Team Manager at VNS Health in New York City. While in this new role, she continues to collaborate with LTC facilities in Brooklyn and Queens focusing on risk management and pressure injury prevention.

Alison Anger, NP, MSc., IWC, NSWOC

Lakeridge Health

Alison provides support as a Nurse practitioner in wound care in acute care, long-term care, and community nursing. She completed the Wounds Canada course in 2002 and completed the Ontario wound ostomy continence course in 2006. Alison was involved in developing the wound care course for nurses at Durham College. She was also a contributing author of the first and second Canadian editions of the Text Medical-surgical Nursing in Canada in 2005 and 2008. In addition, a contributing author for the RNAO best practice guidelines for assessing and managing pressure injuries for the inter-professional team in 2016.

Kaylem Boileau, MHSc, RD

Corporate Wound Care Lead, and Registered Dietitian·Salvation Army Toronto Grace Health Centre

Kaylem Boileau is the Corporate Wound Care Lead, and Registered Dietitian at the Salvation Army Toronto Grace Health Centre. Kaylem has an Honours Bachelor of Science in Human Biology and Nutritional Sciences from the University of Toronto, a Bachelor of Applied Sciences in Food and Nutrition, as well as a Master of Health Sciences from Ryerson University. She has completed the International Interprofessional Wound Care Course (IIWCC-CAN), and continues to advance her knowledge in wound care to support her patients. At Toronto Grace, she supports inter-professional wound prevention and care across the organization, and delivers staff education on pressure injury prevention, and wound assessment, management. She has also lead the implementation of the RNAO Best Practice Guidelines for the Assessment and Management of Pressure Injuries for the Interprofessional Team at Toronto Grace.
