Kimberly Schommer MPH, BSN, RN, PHN, VA-BC
Kimberly Schommer, RN, BSN, PHN, VA-BC is currently working as the Global Clinical Applications Specialist, supporting Solventum’s medical securement products and the Littmann® Stethoscope portfolio within the Medical Solutions Business. A native Minnesotan and now converted Wisconsinite, she recently completed her master’s degree in public health from the University of Minnesota and previously obtained her Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing from Winona State University in Winona, MN and has been working as a registered nurse for 18 years. Her past nursing experience has included both neonatal intensive care at Banner Health in Arizona and pediatric intensive care at the University of Minnesota Masonic Children’s Hospital. Prior to coming to Solventum, she spent almost 5 years as a nursing care coordinator with the Pediatric Genetics and Metabolism team at the outpatient specialty clinic at the University of Minnesota. This role included working in partnership with the Minnesota Department of Health and the Newborn Screening Program. She is board certified in public health. Kim has spoken both nationally and internationally about the challenges around infection prevention, how to select and utilize the best products for patients to achieve positive outcomes, and how to manage skin to prevent further complications to clinical care. She has published articles in the American Journal of Infection Control, Current Dialogues in Wound Management, the Journal of International Medical Research, and the Journal of Wound, Ostomy and Continence Nursing.
Stephanie Yates MSN, RN, ANP-BC, CWOCN, WOCNF
Stephanie Yates is a master’s prepared Nurse Practitioner and consultant, educated at UNC Chapel Hill, and Duke University. She received WOC nursing education at Emory University. Stephanie practiced for many years in acute care, home health, long term care and at the Duke Wound Management Clinic and Duke Cancer Center. She is a Past President of the WOCN Society, and she has co-authored several journal articles on wound care as well as co-edited the second edition of the WOCN Core Curriculum - Wound Care. She has lectured on wound care topics locally, regionally, and nationally. She was inducted as a Fellow in the inaugural class of the Wound Ostomy and Continence Nursi ng Society
