Objectives

Attendees will have the opportunity to:

  • Examine the underlying pathophysiology, risk factors, and progression of VLUs to enhance clinical assessment and early intervention
  • Explore patient and clinical challenges in addressing VLUs
  • Use real-world case studies to demonstrate evidence-informed dressing choices tailored to wound characteristics and patient needs

All attendees will have the chance to participate in a question-and-answer session following the presentation.

 

Presenter:

Dot Weir, RN, CWON, CWS

Dot is a certified Wound and Ostomy Nurse and a Certified Wound Specialist with over four decades of experience. She is the Co-Chair of the Symposium on Advanced Wound Care, Faculty of the Wound Certification Prep Course and Secretary of the International Wound Advisory Institute. She currently practices clinically in a wound care clinic in Michigan. Dot is a national and international consultant and educator.
